February 18, 2025
Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:
Hi, I am Jennifer Chapman, an Executive Coach, Speaker, and Facilitator passionate about helping leaders and teams build confidence, resilience, and connection. With 16 years in sales and leadership, I now empower professionals—especially women executives—to embrace their inner strength, quiet self-doubt, and lead with clarity and courage. Through Just Commit, my coaching and leadership development business, I offer workshops, group coaching, and keynotes that inspire transformation. My mission? To create safe spaces for growth so leaders can step fully into their purpose—both professionally and personally. Let’s commit to your next level of impact together
Who are your customers?
My customers are women executives, leaders, and high-achieving professionals who are ready to step into their full confidence, overcome self-doubt, and lead with clarity and purpose. They are driven, passionate individuals who want to prioritize their personal and professional growth, cultivate resilience, and create deeper connections in their leadership and lives. I also work with organizations and teams that value people-first leadership, employee well-being, and transformational development. Whether through coaching, workshops, or speaking engagements, I support those who are committed to growth, impact, and leading authentically.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
I have a sales background of 17 years across multiple industries both privately owned and corporate.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
A life altering stroke at 34 while thriving in corporate sales started me on my own path of healing and self discovery and allowed me the clarity and courage to help others do the same.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Nope, did not cross my mind until the universe opened a door for me and I was courageous enough to walk through 2020.
Take us back to when you first launched your business; what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?
It was all word of mouth, local networking and tapping into the network I already had and continued to nurture those relationships.
What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?
It's who not How- I do not like wearing all of the hats as a solopreneur and even though I want to have an idea of what is going on in every aspect, I have tapped experts in certain areas to help support my growth why I stay in my zone of genius as much as possible.
What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?
I would be lying if I didn't say that I am still a solo business owner after three years and haven't tapped out. I hit my revenue goal in 2024 right on the number which gives me a lot of affirmation to stay on this path.
Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?
2024 was a lot of tapping into other's networks and doing contract work that honed in on my facilitation skills as well as speaking at several local companies and conferences- speaking fuels my soul.
What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
I have tapped into an expert that is supporting me in creating more systems in my business and organically growing my Just Commit Community so I will be doing regular Masterclasses and small group coaching for women leaders and executives where it gives them permission to be vulnerable in a safe space to lean into their own healing work so they can grow personally and professionally.
What is your top productivity tip?
Start with Clarity—Define Your One Non-Negotiable for the Day.
Before diving into your to-do list, identify the ONE thing that will move the needle the most—whether personally or professionally. Too often, we get caught up in busy work instead of impactful work. When you set a clear priority, you create focused action instead of scattered effort.
Ask yourself: If I could only accomplish one thing today, what would make the biggest difference? Then, commit to it first before distractions take over. Small, consistent wins lead to big results!
On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?
Prioritize Recovery as Much as Productivity.
Burnout doesn’t come from doing too much—it comes from not recovering enough. High-achieving leaders often push through exhaustion, but true resilience comes from intentional rest and boundaries.
Schedule non-negotiable recharge time (even 10 minutes of stillness can reset your mind).
Listen to your energy, not just your to-do list—some days require rest, not hustle.
Give yourself permission to step away—clarity and creativity thrive when you create space.
You can’t pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first, and your impact will be even greater
What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?
My Approach to Work-Life Integration: Align, Don’t Balance.
I believe work and life aren’t meant to be perfectly balanced—they’re meant to be aligned with what matters most. Instead of striving for a 50/50 split, I focus on intentional integration by:
Defining priorities—What truly deserves my energy today?
Setting boundaries with flexibility—Knowing when to push forward and when to step back.
Blending purpose with personal fulfillment—Making space for both meaningful work and personal joy.
When you design life around what fuels you, work and life can complement—not compete with—each other
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
Only that I wish I knew about this community sooner when I was just launching my business- even though I knew I wasn't alone, it felt like it sometimes and still does.
When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?
I love this question- Can you share a time when you faced a challenge and how you navigated it? What did you learn about yourself in the process?"
This question reveals resilience, self-awareness, and growth mindset—key qualities for someone who will thrive in my team’s culture. I'm not just looking for skills; I am looking for someone who aligns with my values, embraces challenges with curiosity, and is willing to grow alongside the team. The right person for my tribe isn’t just capable—they’re committed to evolving, just like me.
What's the one app on your phone you absolutely cannot live without and why?
Headspace- I start every morning with 15-20 minutes of breathing and zen-its been my go to for 7 years.
What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?
I am loving the Flo Desk platform- it seems easy to use even though I am new to it, it is working really well so far to capture emails and create a system for me to nurture my audience.
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
If you have a tap on the shoulder, feel a nudge from deep inside, your intuition is telling you to go for and it! Do not let your inner critic take over and hold you back from your dreams- take the leap! It will be the ride of your life.
