Describe Mystic Mondays in a few words?
Rituals and Resources for Modern Mystics.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
I wanted to express my purpose of spreading consciousness through my creations. I also deeply desire autonomy and freedom.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
Graphic Designer.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
I always knew I wanted to be an artist, and I think to be an artist you are also simultaneously an entrepreneur. It gives you the freedom to create freely.
We always learn the most from our mistakes, share a time with us that you made a mistake or had a challenging time in business and what you learned from it?
My biggest learning lesson is that you can't do it all alone. I'm very independent so I tried! And for the first three years, it was just me. But since starting to hire a team this year, I've learned how vital it is to surround yourself with a support system.
What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?
Launching Mystic Mondays as a Kickstarter in 2017! It showed me that this vision needed to be created and had a place in this world.
When hiring for your team, what is your go-to interview question? Please share any hiring tips you can share from your experience?
What is your spirit animal and why? I tend to look for characteristics and strengths to see how a person can fit into the team dynamic.
How has your business or industry been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic?
I pivoted into creating more digital products and hosting online events.
What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
In 2021, the new Cosmic Creatures will be released! We are on a mission to provide a space for witches to reclaim their power and define their brand of magic. We do this by providing rituals and resources to those who seek. Everything we create is created through the lens of empowering people to listen to their own intuition and to enhance their innate powers.
What is the biggest lesson you have learned in 2020?
Self love and self care are absolutely vital to your business. You grow as much as you allow yourself to, and as the CEO and visionary, it's absolutely vital to invest and care for your wellbeing.
What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were first starting your business?
Systems are important! As someone who resists routines but abides by rituals, it's important to set aside the time to build the structure of your business.
How have you managed to stay grounded this year?
Meditation. Especially as a visual person, it helps relax my mind and raise awareness of my body sensations.
Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?
Yes! So important to regenerate and manage energy effectively so that you can show up as your best self. I recommend putting your phone on airplane mode whenever you're taking breaks and when you sleep.
What's something our audience would be surprised to learn about you?
I'm an ambivert! Meaning I go back and forth between introversion and extroversion. I also have vivid dreams from time to time and I take those as signs from my guides :)
What are your top 3 tips to stay productive each day?
- Review what you need to do for the next day before you sleep.
- Set an intention for the day.
- Delegate and create space to dream.
What does being an Entreprenista mean to you?
It means creating a massive impact in your own unique way!
