Tye Barrett Inspires People to Love Themselves Through Her Luxury Collection

[Template] Website Member Feature Banner (2)

Hi, Tye! Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

Amami was created by entrepreneur Tye Barrett, an African-American woman, who set out to inspire people to embrace their authentic selves and create a community rooted in selfacceptance. Like most powerful stories, hers starts with a personal journey of perseverance. As a single mother, she spent years climbing the corporate ladder while combating stereotypes about who she was and who she was destined to become. Through hard work and determination, she built a successful career while raising her daughter, whom she considers her greatest accomplishment. Tye’s journey goes in tandem with a story of self-acceptance, of learning to embrace the cards life dealt her and see them as an imperative part of her identity. It also gave her an acute empathy for the struggles others face in their journey toward accepting their authentic selves. When creating Amami, she made it her mission to inspire people to love themselves exactly for who they are and feel emboldened by their journeys. Each Amami collection takes a stance for radical self-empowerment, inspiring its wearer to embrace the unique differences that make them.
