Ashley Hearon-Smith and Keri Setaro have two things in common: they both have backgrounds in entertainment and they’re both hustlers. They met when they were recruited to play best friends for the Scary Mommy podcast and quickly became the real thing. Recently they started their current podcast, Momtourage, where they talk about the mom life. They’re also building a media company from the ground up.
Today, they join the show to talk about their story and the lessons they’ve learned from it. They discuss the importance of hustling right away and the value of having a talk about ground rules before getting into anything with someone. They talk about how they found out what they really wanted to do with their skills. They give tips for starting your own podcast and note the importance of consistency–in both format and quality–when releasing content.
