Growth. It’s a part of every Entreprenista’s journey. For founder Eliza Blank, it’s at the heart of the experience and nature of her amazing business. Her company The Sill, offering locally, easy-to-care-for, quality houseplants, shipped right to your door, is a rising star of startups, innovating the not-so-new basic premise of having a plant in your home or office. Eliza joins Socialfly co-founders Stephanie Cartin and Courtney Spritzer for a conversation about building her business and career, describes her journey to success including her breakup with a business partner, the complex logistics of shipping countless houseplants virtually everywhere, why a board of advisors holding you accountable as a solo founder is important, how running a business prepared Eliza for motherhood, growing as a person in her time as a business, and how your plant just may be a reflection of your life. Plus, a surprise!
