The Entreprenista 100 Community Builder of the Year award, presented by Chase Ink, spotlights a passionate leader making inspiring contributions toward the development and empowerment of a community through mission-driven business practices.

Our Community Builder of the Year is Mary Seats, Founder of The Icing Agency, which specializes in all forms of branding, marketing, logos, visuals, social media enhancements, web, print, and interactive media. 

Mary dove into entrepreneurship in 2011 with just $300. After partnering with investors and losing her company—which she eventually repurchased—she founded The Icing Agency, and that journey became the impetus and foundation for launching The Bakery Cowork, a premier, women’s co-working space.

Mary felt that no one truly met the needs of ambitious women looking to grow their brands. So she created the company she wished existed when she was starting, becoming the mentor she had once hoped for. 

The Bakery Cowork isn’t just a physical space; it’s a sanctuary for women entrepreneurs. Mary takes immense pride in her role as a mother, bringing her daughter along on her travels to 15 countries.

“My aspiration is to demonstrate to other women, especially those who come from humble beginnings, that it’s possible to create their dream family and build a thriving business,” she says.
