Hi, Leigh! Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

Leigh is a CEO & Founder and driven entrepreneur who is passionate about helping organizations and individuals achieve their fullest potential faster. By continuously stepping out of her comfort zone and pushing boundaries, Leigh has not only grown her own company into a multi-seven-figure sales operation within the first two years but has also inspired others to do the same. Her secret recipe for success? A bold, can-do spirit that is unafraid to take calculated risks, coupled with a mindset that refuses to let setbacks hold her back. After 20+ years working in healthcare and education, Leigh founded and launched Bold Industries Group, Inc. (BIG) in 2020. BIG is a corporation that encompasses her passion for business consulting, coaching, and curated events. She also helps individuals achieve the maximum potential of their lives through coaching, enabling them to create a strong personal foundation to bring them closer to success and an abundant life.

Who are your customers?

The core segment is women ages 35-65.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

Corporate world and healthcare.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I was suffering from burnout and had to make a choice to live a life aligned with my passion and purpose.

We love that mindset! Take us back to when you first launched your business; what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

I started with those who knew me and already knew what I could do and talked with them and as many other people as possible.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?

I am in year 4 and every year is a different emoji. Scaling with new offerings is always a learning for me to create the best route for communicating your clearest value proposition.

What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?

My new book, coming out this fall, Be BOLD Today: Unleash Your Potential, Master Your Mindset and Achieve Success distributed by Simon & Schuster.

Congratulations, Leigh! Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

Continued our core business and also successfully launched our membership community, The Bold Leaders Collective.

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

I want to continue to share my BOLD Framework and inspire others to be aligned with their passion and purpose.

What is your top productivity tip?

Don’t try to do it all. Do what you are good at and hire others to do the things that slow you down.

On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?

Be mindful and intentionally notice when the signs of burnout are popping up in your life. They are there and you can see them if you are noticing.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

That not everyone will be happy for you, and that is OK. You will find your people.

If you’ve raised capital for your business already, what are some of your best tips or lessons learned?

I bootstrapped, which is a whole other adventure.

Do you have a co-founder? If so, how did you find the right one for you and what are your best partnership tips?

I have a unique partner, my 27-year-old daughter co-founded the company with me. Communication is key and take time to listen and learn from one another.

What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?

Gusto – it helps keep so many things connected and organized for payroll and human resources.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Go for it. Being bold is not about being risky, it is very thoughtful and pragmatic.
