Hi Kriziel! Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:
Hi I am Kriziel Bonilla a lab technician, medical billing specialist, and medical assistant. Also, I have a 14 years of experience in the healthcare sector and a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. I am currently working toward becoming a nurse practitioner. I am a transformative leader with vast expertise in delivering a strategic goal through scalable solutions. I am an entrepreneur at heart and has successfully guided the expansion of multiple firms. I manage e-Admin’s operations, which include hiring, educating, and placing virtual medical assistants. I am strongly committed to using virtual medical assistants to help the healthcare sector increase operational and financial efficiency.
So Kriziel, what excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?
I am excited to be part of community that has the same goal as mine, being ENTREPRENEUR.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
My children. I used to work in an office setting from 9 to 5, and I constantly had to miss my children’s school events, so I made the decision to open my own business so that I could spend more time with them.
Did you have a background in healthcare prior to managing e-Admin’s operations?
Yes, I worked in a healthcare field for almost 15 years.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Yes, since we migrated to United States, I always wanted to be an entrepreneur.
What was your initial marketing strategy?
Since I’ve been working in the healthcare industry for about 20 years, I started telling my coworkers about what I do in an effort to spread the word.
Entreprenistas have to overcome daily challenges. What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?
One of my biggest struggles as a new business owner was keeping up with the increased workload compared to what I was used to. I practiced time management and organizing when I started to feel overburdened. I sought assistance from other business owners and worked to establish an organized timetable that allowed me to concentrate on the current tasks.
What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?
You have the chance to use your time and talents to build the life of your dreams as an entrepreneur. I’ve since completed a number of tasks that have assisted me in achieving that goal. This year, as compared to last year, I was able to more than double my revenue. I’ve also been able to take on bigger projects with reputable companies as a result of the expansion of my company.
Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?
A balance life allows you to enjoy your life – not just work! Tips for improving work-life balance:
– Set your priorities
– Delegate other work
– Set small goals
– Setting boundaries
– TAKE A BREAK!
Learning from other entreprenistas is SO important! What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?
A failure is inevitable. Success won’t look the way you envision it and can only be attained if you keep trying despite failing along the way.
What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?
My company began to expand quickly a few years ago. Our little team grew over the course of six months. Additionally, the way we had structured our work was ineffective, and things started to get a little chaotic. I believed it was my duty as an Administrative Assistant to correct this. So I looked about, did some research, and discovered a new project management application that sounded appropriate for our requirements and was reasonably priced.
What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
To expand my business and provide employment for other single mothers like me.
