Jennifer Bartlett of Aura Boutique on making her customers feel beautiful and confident

Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

At Aura Boutique I carry affordable, stylish, comfortable women’s clothing sizes small-3x. I also offer personal styling. I’ve fluctuated in sizes and have learned tips and tricks along the way to dress different body types. I go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and make sure every customer feels beautiful and confident!

What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?

I’m excited to network and meet other Entreprenistas! It can be overwhelming, confusing, lonely, and challenging on our own. Together though, us ladies can take over the world!

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I’ve always loved the business/corporate world! I knew I wanted to be my own boss, but also make a difference and help women!

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I’ve always been a leader. I come from a family of entrepreneurs!

Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

I used social media platforms to market and create ads. I also used word of mouth! I put everything into my business and am very confident in my customer service and extremely proud of the items I carry.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?

Marketing has been and is still a challenge for me, as I’m located in a small town. There is a lot of competition online, so it’s hard to make it known how Aura is different. It’s still a learning experience!

What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?

Each and every great review and happy customer!

Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?

Finding balance is a must! It’s okay to have a stopping point and not get every single thing done in one day. Don’t sacrifice your personal life. Balance! Balance! Balance!

What have you achieved recently that you’d like to celebrate with our community?

I enrolled back in school. I already own my own business, but am pursuing a degree that will “fill in the gaps” of things I don’t know. I just made the Dean’s and President’s List! I’m excited about that! It’s challenging with school, my business, and being a single mother of four.

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

I hope to really get Aura out there online, I want ladies to come to me and be confident!
