Describe your business in a few words?

We’re a viral magnetic liner and lash brand that is extending to press-on nails

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I wanted to make a change in my life and I truly believe my idea was breakthrough

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I was a full time fine artist.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

I have always had the entrepreneurial mindset and had an inkling but I didn’t know if I would be able to do it

Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

I leaned heavily on instagram in the beginning to get word out. I would DM each and every person that followed the account and would sell them into the product.  I had hundreds of conversations happening at the same time and they then told their friends organically due to the breakthrough idea of our lashes.

We always learn the most from our mistakes, share a time with us that you made a mistake or had a challenging time in business and what you learned from it?

Ordering late on inventory definitely hurt me in the beginning because we were sold out so often but it was hard to do it all by myself so hiring and getting help made it a lot better.

What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?

Just growing the business as fast as we did and being very bootstrappy.

When hiring for your team, what is your go-to interview question? Please share any hiring tips you can share from your experience?

“Are you willing to learn anything and everything and work really hard?” Just find young hungry hustlers. You can tell if they are.

How has your business or industry been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic?

It’s scaled a lot faster right after the pandemic started since everything started going online.

What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

A complete expansion of or lash and nail line and us going into other categories in beauty!

Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?

Yes, if I have an itch to hang out with friends or go outside (which really only happens on weekends since I’m so busy during weekdays) then I started giving myself room to do so lately. I use it as my way of creating content as well since I create content with my friends. Some tips are to just allow yourself to have some fun some  times.

What’s something our audience would be surprised to learn about you?

I never worked a real 9-5 before starting Glamnetic.

What are your top 3 tips to stay productive each day?

Create a list of outstanding tasks you always have at any given point and start executing them when you’re not in meetings.

What does being an Entreprenista mean to you?

Taking challenges head on and starting your own business and just figuring it out as you go.

Share it!
