How Lauren Picasso Navigated Fundraising Challenges to Grow Cure Hydration
“It’s all about, you know, investors are going to be looking at your background and whether they believe in the idea. Sure, but are you going to be able to execute on this idea?”
In this episode of Entreprenista, we sat down with Lauren Picasso, founder and CEO of Cure Hydration, a plant-based hydrating drink mix based on the World Health Organization’s standard for Oral Rehydration Solution but updated for a modern lifestyle. Inspired by her experiences as an endurance athlete, Lauren created Cure to offer a healthier alternative to traditional sports drinks. Before becoming an entrepreneur, she was the marketing director at Jet.com, where she helped scale the company to over 10 million customers before its acquisition by Walmart. Lauren’s resume also includes roles at Rent the Runway and Bloomingdale’s. Under her leadership, Cure focuses on providing clean, effective hydration solutions using science-backed formulations. Tune in to hear how Lauren’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident from the start, how her early roles shaped her career path, and her very personal inspiration for launching Cure Hydration.
