Gabby Dionisio’s Copywriting Service Helps Women Entrepreneurs Gain Visibility
Hi, Gabby! Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:
Hi, I’m Gabby Dionisio! I’m the founder of The Coveted Copy Studio, a website copywriting service that helps female entrepreneurs gain visibility online through strategy-based storytelling.
Who are your customers?
I work primarily with women-owned businesses. My clients are creative founders looking to stand out online and showcase their value while still maintaining a voice and tone that feels true to them.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
I was a high school English teacher for three years! As the story goes, I fell in love and moved to be closer to my now-fiance. During that transition, I also changed careers (because why not?) and began working for a branding agency as a copywriter. I always loved writing but had no idea that it was possible to make a career out of it. Now, I work full-time as a copywriter for a higher education branding agency while building my business on the side.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
I have always freelanced on the side and felt ready to begin getting clients on my own and have more ownership over my work. I began toying with the idea in September of 2023 and launched my business on my dad’s birthday in March 2024.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Not at all! I have always been incredibly driven and creative but I never considered myself entrepreneurial. This journey has taught me a lot about myself, my strengths, and my weaknesses. I still work full-time, which has given me a safety net as I work through everything it takes to be a successful business owner.
What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?
Building a business while working full-time tested my ability to manage my day, priorities, and deadlines.
What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?
The first accomplishment that comes to mind is launching my website. I was SO nervous to put all of my hard work into the world, and I felt so proud when I hit publish. Beyond that, I have had the opportunity to connect and work with such incredible clients and it makes me so grateful to see them succeed and thrive.
Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you’d like to celebrate with our community?
One of my first clients landed her own client within three days of us launching her website! That was such an exciting win, especially because I believed so deeply in her work and could feel how passionate she was. She called to tell me the news and we celebrated together!
What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
My business is only four months old, so lots of growing pains happening here! My goal is to continue to network, grow my portfolio and client list, and provide value to new and existing clients.
What is your top productivity tip?
I chunk my work. Looking at my entire to-do list will send me into a spiral, so I love to lay out the weekly and daily to-do to make everything look and feel more manageable. I also make a BIG effort to stick to a strong morning routine. How I start my day really sets the tone for my productivity.
What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?
My weekends are mine. I do my absolute best not to work on the weekend. My fiance and I both work full-time, and it’s super important for us to reserve that time for us.
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
Pace yourself. In the beginning I tried to attend everything and connect with everyone and that was just too much to keep up with. I try to attend an event per week and have made great connections with a handful of members, so I try to focus on quality vs. quantity.
What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?
Honeybook! It is my favorite resource for keeping all of my projects organized, invoices up to date, and great for tracking monthly progress.
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
Take advantage of all that you can! This is an excellent resource for community and is full of such incredible women. Remember to pace yourself because there is so much to do and explore and make an effort to put yourself out there.
