Family and Feminism with Lena Graham-Morris of Horus Construction Services

LGM QTR Shot_Square

Over the past couple of years, we’ve shared many stories of female entreprenistas who are making an impact, and this time, we’re speaking with a fourth-generation entreprenista. Lena Graham-Morris is currently the Vice President at Horus Construction Services. She grew up in the family business and is now playing an essential role in growing and scaling the company.

Today, Lena joins me to share the biggest lessons she’s learned over the years–everything from figuring out what you rock at to approaching difficult business conversations well. She shares her best tips on secession planning and what she has learned during the process. She shares how she acts as facilitator and mediator at Horus Construction Services, and she notes the importance of bringing in outside resources. She explains the company’s tried and true hiring process and shares how you can apply this to your business. She also tells why she is involved with a novel organization and shares an exciting announcement.

“We cannot tame the beast of our business and the beast of our life if we have not conquered some of those other things going on.”

– Lena Graham-Morris
