Artist & Pilates Instructor Noemi Manero on appreciating the small things
Describe your business in a few words:
I am a Balance Body Comprehensive Pilates instructor and a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance since July 2013. I’ve owned my own Pilates studio since 2019.
One of my biggest passions is to paint. Today my paintings hang in private collections throughout Europe and California. My work is known for its movement and emotion shown in it.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
Marketing for over 22 years, then I decided to start teaching Yoga and Pilates to really reflect on what was important for me and my self care. Painting was a way of letting go of fears of not making it. I was determined to show my daughters that women can actually change careers even in their 40s!
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Yes, I always find a way to be independent and work very hard at what I love.
Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?
I have used social media to market myself, and so far it has been good, but I need to take it to the next level and I think the Entreprenista League can bring me there by sharing tips and support.
What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?
One of my paintings won finalist at a gallery in Barcelona where I am from. That was an honor to even be considered.
Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?
I often take a break, breathe, and recognize all the things that are around me. We tend to take for granted the small things. Forcing myself to slow down and recharge helps.
What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
Hopefully bigger exposure on social media and my dream is to be at more galleries in the United States and also Europe.
What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?
I am excited to connect and learn from other women leaders, and challenge each other with great ideas and projects!
