Hi! I’m Kelly, a 36 year old teacher turned social media manager from Pittsburgh, PA. My site, Explore Pittsburgh, showcases my favs related to neighborhoods, restaurants, skincare, fitness, and family, I’m passionate about helping other women grow their businesses.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?
For as long as I can remember, I've always been an entrepreneur in some ways.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
I’ve owned several small businesses (boutique, photography, nanny agency) and was a teacher and nanny prior.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Always!!!
Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?
I learned from an amazing mentor, and she has helped guide me along the way.
What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?
Imposter syndrome. Still learning.
What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?
Creating a website for someone to start their business, and they got so busy they had to hire an entire team!
Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?
Yes! Work hard, play hard. I’ve never been one to turn down an opportunity to work, but I also relish in my off/down time.
What's a piece of advice you can share that you wish you'd known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?
It’s ok to fail, I’ve failed and failed and failed and got back up again.
What have you achieved recently that you'd like to celebrate with our community?
Scoring another website creation job!

I’d love to grow it to the point where I need to hire someone to help me!
