Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:

Hey there, I’m Jen! I'm a Millennial Moms Empowerment Coach. I’m on a mission to empower Millennial Mamas to live a life that lights them up, by helping them crush their limiting beliefs so they can overcome negativity and thrive through every season that motherhood brings.

Who are your customers?

My customers are well... Millennial Moms!

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

Before starting my business, I dabbled in various industries to see what stuck, but nothing ever felt right. So, I decided instead of working towards someone else’s dream, I’d create my own!

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

Oddly enough, my business was years in the making, that I had no idea was coming to fruition.

I became a Mom during the height of the pandemic, and fell into a suicidal state of depression, that honestly scared the hell out of me.

After years of healing alone and figuring out what worked to save me from the darkest depths of my mind, I set out on a mission to help other women who are currently fighting the same mental battles pull themselves from the ashes and live a life more vibrant than they could have ever dreamed of, because no mother, or woman in general, should feel the way I did.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Yes! I had no clue what that looked like, but I knew one day I would have a thriving business of my own.

Take us back to when you first launched your business; what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?

When I first started my business, times were rough. I was working full-time and balancing trying to get my brand off the ground. I ended up quitting my job after much thought, and while it took me months to get that first client in, I wouldn’t change my experience for the world, as it taught me alot that I wouldn’t have learned otherwise while trying to balance the two. My original marketing plan was simply posting on LinkedIn and Instagram, but once I hired a business coach and started posting paid ads, that’s when everything changed.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?

As I’m still new in business, my biggest challenge so far has been patience. We all want quick results, but for most of us, it’s a waiting game to get those first few clients in.

With that, I learned processes that would go on to be helpful down the line as I worked to onboard clients, along with how to market myself in a way that felt right to me, instead of listening to another online “guru” with a system that didn’t fit.

What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?

My biggest accomplishment that makes me the most proud is knowing I’m making a difference in women’s lives, especially when it comes to their mental health. 51% of Millennial Moms deal with mental health issues, and it’s important to not only talk about this topic, but also help those who are ready to do the work heal themselves, and watch it cause positive ripples for not only themselves but their children and community as well.

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

As for what’s next for my business, I’d love to expand my knowledge of healing modalities, and eventually have the opportunity to speak on stages, start a podcast, and maybe even write a book that shares not only my story but the stories of other women and moms who have healed and improved their lives through my work.

What is your top productivity tip?

As an ADHDer, time blocking is my saving grace! Using AI as well comes in handy as well.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

Just how powerful having a community can be!

Are you a Mamaprenista? If so, please share your best advice for simultaneously managing a business and a family:

As a working Mom, I do my best to try and treat my business as though I work a 9-5, ensuring that I am allowing myself proper rest and time with my family before and after work, so they know they are just as important as the work I do.

What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?

Currently, Google Calendar. It keeps me organized and reminds me of important meetings and tasks coming up.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Whatever you dream of doing, go for it! You'll likely run into blank stares when you tell people your vision, but if you feel in your heart that it's the right thing for you, run with it and see what happens!
