Hello Alice! Please share a brief introduction about yourself.
NKC Accounting for entrepreneurs in all stages of business providing tax, accounting, and advisory services. Startups greatly benefit from having a professional set the company up on a path for success and minimize taxes while growing businesses get the support, guidance and accountability needed to reduce taxes, and strategically plan and operate a financially business to generate wealth.

I am excited to support other entrepreneurs and learn from each other.
What made you take the leap to start NKCAccounting?
For the love of family and what I do, and also I enjoy helping others while having the flexibility of time I want.
What was your background prior to starting your own business?
Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation
So Alice, did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
It runs in the family, it was inevitable.
When first launching a business, spreading the word is crucial. Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your initial marketing strategy?
Networking and I grew through referrals.
Entreprenistas face daily challenges. What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way?
Figuring out how to package my services to attract the right clients.
What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?
Being able to replace my corporate salary (equals my net profit) and more.
Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?
We visualize, strategize and create what work/life balance is for ourselves, it will look different for everyone. i.e. when I started my company I gave up a lot of opportunities to network in the mornings and evenings because I wanted to be available for my kids...yes I may have lost referrals, but that was important to me. I searched and found networking groups that met at lunch or late mornings and grew my business that way.
What's a piece of advice you can share that you wish you'd known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?
It takes time, think of it as a marathon rather than a sprint. Find people who believe in your vision to cheer you on along the journey.

My business grew over 65% year to date when compared to prior year to date
