Alejandra Rojas on Creating Financial Freedom for Women
Hi, Alejandra! Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business:
I’m Alejandra Rojas, an Afro-Latina finance professional specializing in financial trauma. I guide or mentor women entrepreneurs to become the most profitable version of themselves and gain their financial wellness and freedom by clearing the trauma and giving them actionable steps to make it happen with their businesses. I do that all through the highly effective programs of The Money Mindset Hub.
Such a powerful mission! What excites you about being an Entreprenista League member?
To be surrounded by powerhouse women! So many of us just walking the path.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
In 2016, I saw my health on the line for many of the narratives that go around in the money world. I love my profession and I wasn’t about to lose my life just because of it. So I started to make things my way and turn it into a very successful business.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Subconsciously, I think yes! Since the age of 6, I would sell candies at school.
Take us back to when you first launched your business, what was your marketing strategy to get the word out and did it go as planned?
The plan was not plan. Just supported my closest friends and it turned out better than expected but there were certainly a lot of mistakes that are now part of my ever-growing list of lessons learned.
What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way and what did you learn from it?
It has been able to adapt to the consistency of no consistency of an entrepreneur. I think we have been so used to a traditional setting that my biggest challenges have always been to overcome my own definitions, understandings, and traumas around this journey.
What is the accomplishment you are the most proud of to date?
Developing the frameworks that I use with money and clearing financial trauma without reliving the trauma. That was a huge point for me.
Do you believe in work/life balance? What are some of your best tips?
I do. I actually live a work/life balance. I travel as much as I desire, I sleep, or do nothing as much as I desire and I focus and create from a place of infinite creativity as much as I desire.
What’s a piece of advice you can share that you wish you’d known when you first started your Entreprenista journey?
Nothing means more than the meaning that you give for everything! Do you find something is blocking you? Find a way to change the meaning and demolish that block.
Congratulations, Alejandra! What’s next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?
As my baby girl steps into this world, The Money Mindset Hub will follow its path of growth through a more self-done approach and I’m so excited to see how many women entrepreneurs we get to support to clear financial trauma and build profitable businesses in demand.
