woman-inspired-by-fallThe month of October is normally a bittersweet month; it signals the start of a new school year, fall festivals, and in some stores the start of  holiday shopping season. But it also signals the end of summer, warm weather, and spending a lot of time outside. The cooler nights and the shorter days are just a reminder that winter is right around the corner.

1. Clothing

It’s time to get the fall clothes out of storage or the back of the closet. It’s time to get reacquainted with dressing in layers, wearing tights and boots, and hoodies and coats. Fall is a popular season in the fashion world. It’s during this time of year that designers have fashion week and debut their Spring line of clothing. Also, now is the time to purchase summer clothes and accessories for next year because they are reduced to make way for the Fall and Winter Clothes.

2. Food

The types of food we eat also change in the fall. It’s time to start thinking about eating and making soups, stews, and breads. We tend to make foods that will keep is warm and full. Also, hot drinks such as hot chocolate, lattes, cappuccinos, and hot apple cider become more popular.  During this time we also tend eat and cook a little healthier. There are also certain fruits and vegetables that are available this time of year.

3. Fall Festivals

There seem to be festivals all over town almost every week during the fall. It’s fun to sell all the vendors and the items they have made as well as all the different types of food. It’s a great way to spend the last few decent months outside. These festivals are a great time to start your holiday shopping because the vendors normally will have their holiday merchandise out.

These are just a few of the things that change in the fall. One of the most popular things is the changing of the leaves which makes for awesome pictures. Have a great fall season!
