Is change in the air for you?Clarity, confidence & credibility are just 3 of the many benefits that branding and re-branding can bring to your life. You know that feeling of clearing and lightness of being you have when you experience an epiphany? Well, that’s kind of what being branded or re-branded feels like!

It seems more and more people are re-branding these days, which makes sense for those that fit into one of these top 3 situations:

  1. The business was named too quickly or was not well-thought out.
  2. The discovery stage of branding was skipped over or rushed through.
  3. The business or the business owner has evolved to a new level or is stuck.

In our hurried society, so many people keep adding more things onto their plate, which leads to an uncomfortable feeling of constantly being overwhelmed, scattered and behind. In this state of mind, clarity cannot be achieved and any new possibilities or opportunities to increase your success quotient will be blocked out. The first benefit, clarity, provides freedom from this indistinctness or ambiguity.

Did you ever stop to think that people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it?

Let’s take a quick look at Apple, which everyone seems to know and learn from. Apple challenged accepted thinking in the late 1970’s, and has not changed since. Apple thinks, acts and communicates from the inside out. Apple knows their why, which is essential for anyone who wants to achieve lasting success and validation.

Here is an example showing how GM achieved clarity by understanding their why, along with using the less is more method to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency:

General Motors re-branded by stating they are reinventing and rebirthing the company as “The New GM” with “Fewer, stronger brands. Fewer, stronger models. Greater efficiencies, better fuel economy, and new technologies” as stated in their reinvention commercial. General Motors’ reinvention commercial also stated that eliminating brands “isn’t about going out of business, but getting down to business.”

Change is in the air, and releasing the past can free us up to be surprised and excited about possibilities. I hope that this is the year that you decide to clear your life of unnecessary attachments to gain clarity and light up your mind with innovative ideas in order to create sudden shifts of direction. Plus, you’ll have an extra spring in your step as you go forward.

If you are one of the many that need to re-brand, don’t be afraid of change… just be ready for new beginnings!
